Adams Hemphill Park Community Survey

The City of Austin is proposing to add two stormwater ponds to Adams Hemphill Neighborhood Park to support a project to reduce flood risk in the Hyde Park Neighborhood. Without these ponds, the flood risk reduction project cannot be done. The City is creating a concept plan for the park to ensure that the proposed ponds are compatible with future improvements to the park.

One possible design for the detention pond includes a relatively high wall. This would allow for a relatively level grassy area inside the pond. The pond would be dry most of the time.
