Beginning in October 2022, the Handbook Committee has met monthly to review and suggest changes to the current City of Concord Historic District Handbook, which was last significantly updated in 2015. In general, the updated Handbook has a modernized look with more photographs, fresh illustrations, and clarifying text to reflect needed changes with respect to the experiences of the Commission in administering the standards as well as to recent changes to the state land use law in Chapter 160D necessitating less ambiguous language in the design standards.
