Mecklenburg County Community Relations

Revaluation is a process required by North Carolina law where all property (land and buildings within Mecklenburg County) is revalued to its current market value as of Jan. 1. To meet expectations in a fast growing region, Mecklenburg County's Office of Tax Administration conducts a revaluation every four years.  Without periodic revaluation, some property owners would pay more than their share of property tax while others would pay less than their share. Stalking is a prevalent, traumatic, dangerous and often misunderstood crime. Join us as we work to strengthen the community response and improve outcomes for survivors of stalking. A two-hour virtual training session will be offered on June 26, 2026 and an all-day seminar will take place on October 27, 2026, at the Valerie C. Woodard Conference Center (3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC).

We invite residents, community partners, and subject matter experts to participate in a series of public focus groups supporting the development of our Behavioral Health Strategic Plan. These sessions will help shape the design and delivery of a countywide behavioral health awareness and promotional campaign. Your input will guide key decisions about audiences, messages, communication channels and outreach tactics. All perspectives are welcome. Whether you work in behavioral health, have lived experience, or simply want to contribute to stronger community supports, your voice is important.
