At their August 5, 2025 public meeting the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners appointed 13 members and 2 alternates to serve on the Swannanoa Plan Steering Committee. This Committee is crucial to the success of the planning process, bringing their knowledge of the community, expertise in a focus area, interest in the future of Swannanoa, and willingness to help create a vision for the long term. The Committee will meet regularly with County staff to share their perspective and insight on a variety of topics, review data, and provide feedback on recommendations and options.
