Oakwood Avenue Reconstruction/Resurfacing

In 2014, Grand Rapids voters established the Vital Streets fund. This fund dedicates its focus to improving our street conditions. The Oakwood Avenue project is funded by Vital Streets. Construction will begin July 2026.

Oakwood Avenue (Knapp to 3 Mile)

Construction is expected to start July 2026.

This is a reconstruction project. Contractors will replace the road and upgrade what is listed below:

Driveway approaches and sidewalks
Water
Storm sewer
Traffic circle
