Project Background

Welcome!

There are two parts to this public engagement opportunity for the 13th Street N. Neighborhood Complete Streets Project:

  3. Interactive Map

This engagement opportunity is open through May 17. Your feedback will help finalize the plan, along with other available information, such as plan guidance and crash data. Thank you for helping improve our projects to better meet your needs!

Project Background

This stretch of 13th Street North was nominated by a member of the public for consideration by the Neighborhood Complete Streets program and advanced to public engagement by the Neighborhood Complete Streets Commission due to:

  • No ADA-accessible, un-obstructed sidewalk on either side of the street (streetlights on the south side and utility poles and missing sidewalk on the north side).
  • Crash history
  • Vehicle volume
  • Proximity to schools, transit, parks, and bike routes

Project Goals

  • Complete the missing sidewalk infrastructure to provide a safe and accessible pedestrian route.
  • Utilize the existing, County-owned right of way while balancing priorities to achieve a complete street for all who travel on 13th Street N.
