Project Overview
This project will activate the 4.5-acre Rozzelles Ferry Nature Preserve and ~100-acre Haymarket Nature Preserve on Mountain Island Lake in northwest Charlotte. The project scope will include development of shoreline stabilization, kayak launch, trails, parking and signage. Visit the "Rozzelles Ferry" and "Haymarket" tabs to view proposed design concepts. The design survey closed on October 19, 2025 and the design team will be sharing the proposed final concept in early 2026.
