2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (Elevate 2050)
2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (Elevate 2050)
Welcome!
The French Broad River Metropolitan Planning Organization (FBRMPO) is seeking your input on its 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) update, which identifies road, bicycle/pedestrian, transit, and rail projects that will help the region achieve its vision and goals over the next 25 years. This federally required planning effort must address Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) planning factors, incorporate extensive public engagement, and be fiscally constrained. The MTP is a blueprint for the multimodal transportation network's development, and all projects that receive federal funds must be included in the MTP.
Public Survey
The purpose of this survey is to receive public comment on the draft goals and objectives for Elevate 2050 and to understand the kinds of projects you want to see happen in the region.
The FBRMPO's 2050 MTP will help the Asheville urban area region move toward an improved transportation network over the next 25 years. The plan will place focused emphasis on the vision and goals of the community in the evaluation of the existing network, analysis of future needs, and the identification/prioritization of projects.
