Unity Park Improvements
Unity Park Improvements
Unity Park is an existing 6-acre Mecklenburg County Park located at 6401 Kelsey Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215. The park includes a multipurpose field, tennis courts, playground, and picnic shelter. Recently, paved walking trails were also added to the park.
This Improvement project will add new pickleball courts. The scope of this project may also include repairs/expansion of existing paved trails and/or wayfinding.

Unity Park Improvements Meeting
Please join us at the Unity Park Shelter on Saturday, December 6 from 2-3:30 PM to discuss 2 concepts for future improvements to Unity Park.
Park and Recreation will present two concepts at the upcoming public meeting for Unity Park. Please see details about the meeting below. If you can't attend the meeting or prefer to provide feedback online, please scroll down to see the concepts and vote on your preferred one. You can also download the concepts at the bottom of the page.
Concept #1
Concept #1 converts one of the existing tennis courts into two pickleball courts. The existing shelter is replaced in place with a new one. A water fountain is added to the park near the intersection of the main path and the path to the play areas.
Concept #2
Concept #2 leaves the existing tennis courts alone and adds two new pickleball courts in the open field next to the current shelter. The existing shelter is replaced in a different location to maximize the green space between the pickleball courts and shelter. A water fountain is added to the park near the intersection of the main path and the path to the play areas.
