Community Feedback to Help Plan Lake Myra County Park
Lake Myra County Park, located south of Knightdale and west of Wendell, is a 224-acre property in the Marks Creek watershed. The former site of a gristmill and general store, the lake was also one of the most popular destinations in the area: through the 1940s, it offered visitors a bathhouse, covered dancehall, diving board and boating facilities. The park will open the site to recreational opportunities. A park center, day-use shelters, playground, nature overlooks, boardwalks and trails are among the facilities and amenities planned for the park.
A community meeting was held on October 18, 2023 where a site analysis of the park was presented. View the maps and conceptual designs at www.wake.gov/lakemyra.
