Chloride TMDL Action Plan - Public Comment
Chloride TMDL Action Plan - Public Comment
A Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) establishes the maximum amount of pollutants that can enter a water body without violating water quality standards. Fairfax County has developed a plan consistent with the Northern Virginia Salt Management Strategy (SaMS). The plan documents how the County intends to reduce chloride pollution from stormwater discharges from the storm sewer owned and operated by the County. The County's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) permit requires the County to solicit public input on the plan.
For more information on the County's MS4 Permit and Program, visit the MS4 Program Webpage. Hard copies of the Action Plan are available at the Virginia Room of the City of Fairfax Regional Library & at the Information Desk at the Fairfax County Government Center.
