Project Description: The Haines Highway Reconstruction project is located on the Haines Highway, Milepost 3-25 to replace Chilkat River Bridge #742, realign the adjacent road, widen the road to 36 feet, and straighten curves to meet a 55 mph design speed. The project is also designed to provide a long-term solution to debris flow problems and includes planned enhancements along the Chilkat River.
