Battle Ridge Greenway Connector Project
Battle Ridge Greenway Connector Project
These projects are part of the Neighborhood & Community Connections (N&CC) Program. The N&CC Program is an effort to identify, prioritize, and build new, walkable connections to parks and greenways. The N&CC Program was designed to promote health equity throughout the City, using geo-spatial modeling and data analysis to guide investment in those communities which are most at-risk of negative health outcomes and most in need of improved access to outdoor recreation opportunities.
The proposed projects include the construction of a 10-foot-wide asphalt trail from the end of Mechanicsville Run Lane in the Battle Ridge Community to the Neuse River trail at mile marker 20 ¾ and from Mackinac Island Lane in the Battle Ridge North Community to the Neuse River Trail between mile marker 20 and 21. The proposed trail connections align with the planned greenway corridor connection to Barwell Road Park and connects to the adjacent Battle Ridge community park/playground.
We have developed the design plans and what your feedback on the plans and for you to tell us about how you use or would like to use Raleigh’s greenways.
