2024-2025 Affordable Housing and Community Needs Survey
2024-2025 Affordable Housing and Community Needs Survey
Each year, the City of Raleigh receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds are used for affordable housing initiatives. Initiatives include creating affordable rental and homeownership housing, helping those experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, providing public services to persons with low- and moderate-incomes, and supporting community development needs.
The City of Raleigh is projected to get $4.7 million in federal funding next year. We need your input!
To access these funds, the City must submit an Annual Action Plan. The Annual Action Plan is the City’s application to HUD for funding and provides a framework for goals. Annual Action Plans align with the City’s 5-year Consolidated Plan (ConPlan). The ConPlan outlines how federal resources should address community needs (identified through extensive feedback).
The 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan will be the fifth and final year for the City’s 2021-2025 ConPlan. Your input will help the City determine how to best spend these funds and influence our 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan.
Your voice will guide the investment of this funding and help to create a thriving and equitable Raleigh!
