Overview
As part of the Progress Village Regional Drainage Improvements project, a road closure of Progress Boulevard at S. 83rd Street for up to 60 days is necessary. The closure is expected to begin in mid-May and mid-July. As with any construction project, inclement weather may impact and delay the work.
Drivers will be advised to use S. 78th Street and U.S. 301 as alternate routes around the closure, and the detour route will be marked with road signage.
The regional drainage improvements project is necessary to reduce roadway flooding and improve overall water quality.
