SR 531 Lake Erie Erosion Repair Project: Virtual Open House Public Meeting
SR 531 Lake Erie Erosion Repair Project: Virtual Open House Public Meeting
What is the project?
The Ohio Department of Transportation welcomes you to our virtual open house for the proposed Lake Erie coastal erosion repair project along State Route 531, or Lake Road, in Ashtabula County, Ohio.
Whether you are a nearby resident, business owner, employee or local driver, we want to give you the latest information on current short-term efforts to protect State Route 531 and a future project involving long term solutions to coastal erosion threatening State Route 531. We want to hear your comments and concerns as well.
Why is public input needed?
We want to provide information on what is being proposed for the project. Given the time constraints and rapidly eroding shoreline, few alternatives are available. Based on initial analysis, one alternative is being recommended by the project team. We’d like your feedback on the potential impacts of the proposed project. The selected alternative will move forward to detailed design to be built.
