New Parking Regulations
New Parking Regulations
The mission of Fairfax County’s Land Development Services (LDS) focuses on the safe and sustainable building of our communities, which includes the regulation of off-street parking. In 2024, new parking regulations in the Fairfax County Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance) were implemented. A link is provided here: Document Viewer | Zoning Ordinance. To measure the effectiveness and use of the new regulations, this survey of those who reference minimum parking supply requirements to determine parking for their projects and site activities was created. The goal of this survey is an evaluation of industry’s adoption of the new requirements, whether the requirements have made projects easier to implement, and whether the parking tools created with the Ordinance changes are helpful.
