What you need to know

Pike Road will experience rolling full closures between Albin Drive and Brookside Street to safely complete underground drainage work.

To minimize disruption, the road will only be closed in small sections (less than half a block at a time), moving progressively down the street. Work begins as early as July 28 and is expected to wrap up by the end of December 2026.

What to Expect & Traffic Impact:

• Moving Closures: Work starts at Albin Drive and moves south toward Brookside Street. Only the active work zone will be fully closed.
• Driveway Access: Work directly in front of homes may lose driveway access for up to 72 hours. The contractor will contact the affected residents to arrange temporary parking or access.
• Advance Notice: Residents will receive a notification at least 72 hours before work reaches their property.
• Detours: Clear detour signs will be posted to guide drivers around the active work zone.
• Neighborhood Access: If you live within the construction zone but outside the full road closure, you can still access your home from the nearest north or south cross street.
• Open Lanes: Blocks that are not currently under construction may remain open as a single, southbound-only lane.
• Schedule dates are subject to change based on weather and field conditions.

Overall Project Information  

The project will install an underground storm drain system and channel improvements to include associated roadway reconstruction, curbs, sidewalks, and driveway approaches. This is a multi-phase and Hazard Mitigation Action Plan project.
