Overview of Project

The Iowa DOT is proposing to replace the bridge along U.S. 69, over the Des Moines River in Des Moines. The project would impact the Carl Voss Trail, John Pat Dorrian Trail, and Pete Crivaro Park.

The Carl Voss Trail and John Pat Dorrian Trail must be closed to construct the bridge over the Des Moines River. Trail connections to US 69 will be closed through the duration of construction, in addition to the section of Carl Voss Trail under the US 69 bridge. A detour route will be provided for trail users.
