CORE Ideas for FY 2024 Unified Planning Work Program
The BRTB’s Work Program & Budget is known as the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for Transportation Planning. The UPWP responds to a federal requirement that calls for a plan which details projects, studies and other activities to be completed by BRTB members and staff of the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC).
The BRTB is seeking input from the Transportation CORE through Friday, November 11, 2022 on potential work tasks for the FY 2024 UPWP.

What is the UPWP?
The BRTB’s Work Program and Budget is known as the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for Transportation Planning. The UPWP responds to a federal requirement that calls for a plan which details projects, studies and other activities to be completed by BRTB members and staff of the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC).
The BRTB develops this list of regional transportation planning activities every two fiscal years. UPWP funds support staff for regional planning activities with some consultant assistance. The expected budget for FY 2024 is between $7 and $8 million.
