WELCOME!

5900 S Pleasant Valley DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Who is AHFC?

The Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) is a quasi-public non-profit entity created by the Austin City Council in 1979 whose mission is to generate and implement strategic housing solutions for the benefit of low-and moderate-income residents of the City.

Project Info

AHFC will be partnering with a developer identified through a request for qualifications (RFQ) process to develop affordable housing on the AHFC owned tracts located at 5900 S Pleasant Valley Road and 5901 Drowsy Willow Trail. AHFC has created an initial proposed development concept for each tract – one tax credit rental project and one Community Land Trust ownership project. For more details on each concept please view them at the below links:

AHFC is seeking community feedback on the development concepts in order to modify and refine each before finalizing for inclusion in the RFQ solicitation for a development partner. The public comment period is open now through the end of the day on (insert dates). Please fill out the survey below to provide your input.

How well do you think we've incorporated public input so far?

What more would you like to see added, enhanced, or supported by the project?

We've previously discussed our proposal to develop a maximum of around 240 units on the property at 3515 Manor Road. Public input received thus far has demonstrated potential support for developing more affordable housing on this property than previously proposed. Would you support the potential development of more affordable housing than previously proposed at 3515 Manor Road, perhaps up to 360 units?
