NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP ON PROPOSED EMULSIFIED ASPHALT RULE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clark County Department of Environment and Sustainability, Division of Air Quality (DAQ) will conduct a public workshop to solicit input on a proposed rule regulating the use of emulsified asphalt within Clark County.

The proposed rule considers a 3% volatile organic compound (VOC) content limit for emulsified asphalt. The rule is intended to satisfy contingency measure requirements for the Clark County Serious Ozone  State Implementation Plan.

DAQ invites asphalt manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, public works departments, and other stakeholders involved in the production, distribution, and use of emulsified asphalt to attend the workshop and provide input. The workshop will include a presentation of the proposed rule framework, the anticipated emissions benefits, and an opportunity for public comment and feedback.

The workshop will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams. Stakeholder comments, questions, and discussion will be welcomed during the session.
