Outside you can also find the Grayson Skatepark, basketball court, tennis courts, playground, and baseball/multipurpose field. Grayson Skatepark is one of two current skatepark facilities within the Mecklenburg County park system.
See below for the current proposed skatepark improvement plans for Grayson Skatepark. Substantial Construction Completion punch list items for the recreation center are underway with an anticipated opening Early 2026. Grayson Skatepark will open with the recreation center.

Proposed Grayson Skatepark Improvements:
Our goal was to give the Grayson Skatepark a much needed facelift. The design focuses on the entry way into the park by reprogramming the unused space that currently exists. This includes a skateable archway and a series of bank ramps, which are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. In addition, we propose enhancements to the lower section that includes modern street elements and new flatwork.
