Nevin Park Improvements
Nevin Park is an existing 155-acre Mecklenburg County Park located at 6000 Statesville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269. The park includes multipurpose fields, ball fields, a playground, sprayground, picnic shelters, disc golf course, restrooms, and parking. A 2-miles segment of Irwin Creek Greenway is currently under construction through the park.
This Improvement project will:
- Add a new skate park.
- Add new pickleball courts.
- Add new paved, bicycle and pedestrian connections to the surrounding neighborhood.
- The scope of this project may also include repairs/expansion of existing paved trails, wayfinding, and/or improvements to the parking area and restroom.

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invite you to a public meeting for Nevin Park Improvements located in the Nevin Park Community Area. Join us on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, anytime between 5:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m. at Nevin Park (near Outdoor Shelter #2) 6000 Statesville Road, Charlotte, NC 28269 to learn more about this project and to provide your feedback.
Note: This meeting is a joint meeting for two County projects (Nevin Park Improvements & Ribbonwalk Nature Center & Preserve).
