Shuffletown Park Improvements

Shuffletown Park is an existing 54-acre Mecklenburg County Park located at 9530 Bellhaven Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28216. The park includes ball fields, a playground, dog park, picnic shelter, sand volleyball courts, public art, parking, and restrooms. The park is the site of the former Shuffletown Dragway, a drag racing track that was built in 1958. 

This Improvement project will:

  1. Add a new sprayground.
  2. Add a new skate park. Visit the "Skate Park Survey" tab at the top of the screen to complete a survey for the skate park design!
  3. Add a new basketball court.
  4. Replace the existing playground. 
  5. The scope of this project may also include repairs/expansion of existing paved trails, wayfinding, and/or improvements to the parking area and restroom. 

 

Join Mecklenburg County Staff at Shuffletown Park for one of two drop-in public meetings to review concepts for these park improvements! Staff will be at the Shuffletown Park shelter near the playground and ball fields on:

  • Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 5pm-7pm and
  • Saturday, April 12, 2024 from 10am-12pm
