Notice of Study Completion

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has completed its 2022 Transportation Master Plan (TMP). As per the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process for Master Plans, the final report has been made public for its required 30 calendar-day public review period. You can find the notice and report in the 'Documents' section along the right sidebar of this page.

What is a Transportation Master Plan?

The Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is an element of the Town’s planning and guides BWG’s transportation investments and activities. We will develop the plan using a framework that incorporates the Town’s vision, feedback from the community, and analysis of the challenges and opportunities in BWG.

A TMP looks to the future of our community in terms of population, business growth, residential development, commuter needs and other land-use plans to determine what the transportation needs of our community will be, and how that can be integrated with our existing transportation network. Using environmental assessment planning, it lays out a guide for sustainable, efficient and safe movement of goods and people within and around BWG.

The TMP will be completed in accordance with the Master Plan process identified by the Municipal Engineers Association, adhering to the requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment.
