PUBLIC WORKSHOP NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP ON PROPOSED COATINGS OPERATIONS RULE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clark County Department of Environment and Sustainability, Division of Air Quality, will conduct a public workshop to solicit input on a proposed rule regulating volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from paper, film, foil, fabric, and vinyl coating operations within Clark County.
The proposed rule establishes emission standards, work practice requirements, and compliance obligations for facilities that apply coatings or adhesives to paper, film, foil, fabric, or vinyl materials.
The purpose of this rule is to reduce VOC emissions associated with coating operations and align local air quality standards with state and federal ozone attainment obligations.
The DAQ invites manufacturers, printers, packaging producers, coating and adhesive suppliers, and other affected stakeholders to attend the workshop and provide input. The workshop will include a presentation of the proposed rule framework, the anticipated environmental and compliance impacts, and an opportunity for public comment and discussion.
The workshop will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams. Stakeholder comments, questions, and discussion will be welcomed during the session.
