Thank you for your interest in Doctor's Run Park project. Staff are seeking community feedback on a draft concept design for the park. Your responses will help guide a final design. Please respond by November 14, 2025.
Doctor's Run Park is due for a number of improvements as part of Arlington County's facility lifecycle process. Share your feedback to help inform the upcoming renovations!
This project is funded by the Capital Improvement Plan.
This project includes:
- Resurfacing the existing volleyball court.
- Updating the playground equipment.
- Improving the paths within the park to ensure ADA accessibility and circulation.
- Installing a new, small shade structure.
- Upgrading existing site furnishings (picnic tables, park benches, trash and recycle bins) and add new ones.
- Improving stormwater management.
- Improving the site's landscaping.
Your feedback will inform the final draft design, including play structures, site furnishings, and key features. The design process is expected to continue through Summer 2026. The Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking your input between now and November 14.
