Active Transportation Plan
The City of Pinole is developing an Active Transportation Plan (ATP) in order to foster a robust and safe active transportation network. This network will bolster a healthier community by providing cleaner air and health benefits that come with walking, biking and scooting. Additionally the network will support a healthier planet by reducing carbon emissions from less cars on the road. Community engagement to shape the plan is being conducted under the campaign, Walk and Roll Pinole. Future concepts that incorporate an active transportation network for different roads in Pinole were made available for the public to vote on (now closed). Active Transportation Plan Workshop
The City of Pinole will be hosting an Active Transportation Plan (ATP) workshop on Thursday, July 11 from 6pm-8pm at the Pinole Senior Center (2500 Charles Ave.). Please join us to learn about the developing Plan and provide your thoughts and comments on ATP recommendations that will be presented for different roadways. An ATP will foster a network for residents and visitors to safely walk, bike, and scoot and will bring environmental and health co-benefits. Refreshments will be provided.
