Background and Context
The RFK Master Plan is an opportunity to reimagine the campus as a vibrant, mixed-use neighborhood. The plan will identify opportunities for new recreational areas and facilities, housing, businesses, and improved connections to the waterfront. Additionally, it will establish new land use, zoning, and design standards to guide future development.
The RFK Campus Master Plan was produced through a robust multi-year community engagement process. During this process, we received over X,XXX comments on the future RFK Campus, which informed the draft master plan. Thank you to everyone who has participated in this planning effort to date - your enthusiasm and dedication to reimaging this historic site in the District are appreciated.

Introduction
What is a Master Plan?
A master plan is a long-term planning tool that guides the growth and change of a large site over time. Below is information about what the RFK Master Plan will do, examples of previous District master plans, and the timeline for this planning process. (Click on image to enlarge).
What Have We Heard So Far?
Starting in February 2025, the District hosted a series of conversations and workshops with local stakeholders. Feedback received at those meetings and throughout the master planning process will inform guidance detailed in the master plan. (Click on image to enlarge).
