WHAT IS A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN?

One of the fundamental responsibilities of local government is planning – a word used to describe how a community shapes and guides growth and development. This project website and survey were designed to support and inform the 2023 update to unincorporated Rockdale County's Comprehensive Plan. Updating the comprehensive plan offers communities the opportunity to look beyond the execution of day-to-day services and consider where they want to be in the next five years - as well as what has to be done to get there.
