The City of Asheville is conducting a Comprehensive Operational Analysis to improve transit in the city.

This survey about the Draft Network ran from May 21 to June 28, 2026 and is now closed. Your feedback will help us make any final changes to the bus network before we present the plan to City Council.

How did we get to a Draft Network?
In the fall, we presented two conceptual alternatives that focused on (a) maximizing ridership and (b) maximizing coverage. Using feedback from the public, Asheville City Council gave the direction to design the Draft Network with a “nudge towards ridership” while keeping coverage in areas with many low-income persons.

The Draft Network follows that direction by removing bus routes from some areas to provide bus routes that run more frequently along busy corridors.
