Arlington Neighborhoods Program New Projects Brainstorm
Arlington Neighborhoods Program New Projects Brainstorm
We are gathering ideas to help develop a vision for what potential projects and programming, offered through the Arlington Neighborhoods Program, would best serve our communities.
For inspiration, here are a few examples of neighborhood projects and programs offered by other municipalities.
Background
In 2021, the County finalized a review of the Arlington Neighborhoods Program (formerly known as the Neighborhood Conservation Program). The program review final report notes, “Neighborhood Conservation remains a unique and valuable County program. Its bottom-up nature is distinct from and complements other Arlington programs. It effectively delivers physical improvements to neighborhoods and is a strong example of Arlington's commitment to community development and resident engagement.”
The Arlington Neighborhoods Program (ANP) is currently conducting an in-depth analysis and exploring potential changes to their program, including the types of projects and programming offered. The program review final report notes that there is a need to streamline and optimize programming for the Arlington Neighborhoods Program.
