HAM - State to Central Safety Improvement Project - PID 117818
What is the project?
The City of Cincinnati, in coordination with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), is proposing safety improvements and the addition of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure to approximately 3.5 miles of Linn Street, W. 8th Street, and State Avenue. The proposed project seeks to enhance the West End, Queensgate, and Lower Price Hill neighborhoods with various transportation improvements within the three corridors. These corridors include Linn Street from W. 6th Street to Central Parkway, W. 8th Street from State Avenue to Central Avenue, and State Avenue from St. Michael Street to Dutton Street. The improvements include intersection enhancements, new bicycle facilities, and pedestrian amenities. The project is needed to provide accessible and safe connections for all road users in the West End, Queensgate, and Lower Price Hill neighborhoods. The project will improve bicycle and pedestrian facilities without significantly impacting traffic operations or safety of the existing roadway network.
