The Shirley Gate Road Extension project will extend Shirley Gate Road from the T-intersection at Braddock Road south to the Fairfax County Parkway with the construction of a two-lane road and additional bicycle and pedestrian amenities. 

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation held a community information meeting to provide residents and commuters with an overview of the proposed design and discuss next steps, specifically land acquisition activities.
