Project Background
Arlington County Department of Parks and Recreation is creating one master plan for three parks -- Maury Park, Herselle Milliken Park, and Gum Ball Park. These three small parks sit close together, and the plan will guide how they work as a connected set of community spaces. This process builds on past County plans and longtime community interest in improving and linking these parks.
What this project will do
- Create a master plan for all three parks.
- Connect the sites so they feel like one cohesive experience.
- Identify amenities shaped by community input.
- Provide space for play, recreation, gathering, casual use, and nature.
What is a Park Master Plan?
Park Master Plans are long-range plans that provide a road map for the layout of park facilities. They are intended to guide future design, investment and development.
