This project is included in the Intersection Operation and Safety Enhancement Program. Enhancements at the intersection of Benjamin Road and Barry Road include the installation of a signal for Benjamin Road at Barry Road, along with milling and resurfacing over a distance of approximately 1,050 feet. This will facilitate a left-turn lane from northbound to westbound and will include varying shoulder widening to match the pavement width. Additionally, improvements for pedestrian connectivity are part of the project. Sidewalks will be constructed or upgraded to enhance pedestrian access throughout the corridor, specifically incorporating ADA-compliant ramps, curbing, and pavement markings.

This project seeks to enhance the mobility and safety of both vehicles and pedestrians. The design takes into account current and anticipated traffic conditions, with particular emphasis on peak hours during the morning and evening.
