CATS is planning Better Bus service improvements in October 2026 for Routes 5, 6, 9, 53x, 61x, and 64x, along with a new 177 route which will provide midday service on weekdays for riders of the 48x, 63x, and 77x. These improvements will include more frequency, more service, and more reliability to better connect you to the places you need to be. 

We want to hear from you before finalizing these changes for October. Your feedback will help CATS understand when you need service the most and how we can build the schedule that works for you.

Route 5 – Airport 

Daily service from 5:30 a.m.–1:22 a.m. on weekdays; and 6:00 a.m.–12:30/1:00 a.m. on weekends. 

Route 6 – Kings Drive 

Daily service from 6:15 a.m.–12:25 a.m. 

Route 9 – Central Avenue 

Daily service from 4:50 a.m.–1:40 a.m. weekdays; and 5:30 a.m.–1:40 a.m. weekends. 

Route 53x – Northlake Express 

Weekdays only from 6:15 a.m.–8:00 a.m. and 4:05 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. 

Route 61x – Arboretum/Waverly Express 

Weekdays only from 6:15 a.m.–7:15 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. - 5:20 p.m. 

Route 64x – Independence Blvd Express 

Weekdays only from 6:15 a.m.–8:20 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.
