Triangle Bikeway Study - Phase 2 Community Survey
Triangle Bikeway Study - Phase 2 Community Survey
This survey is now closed. There were over 2,000 respondents - an excellent sample of the community in and around the Study area. Once developed, a summary of the survey results and information about the Final Plan & Conceptual Design will be posted at: www.TriangleBikeway.com.
Welcome! Regional transportation agencies are working together to plan and envision the Triangle Bikeway, a regional 17-mile biking and walking path connecting, Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, Research Triangle Park (RTP), Durham, and Chapel Hill. By connecting Triangle communities, the shared-use path will allow residents to make both short and long biking and walking trips for work, play, and daily errands.
Where are we now?
An initial public survey was conducted in the Fall of 2020 and provided critical input on desired destinations, commuting patterns, estimated frequency of use, and route preferences. Currently, the Study is in the Alternative Selection phase of the project, which is where a recommendation is made for the primary route to take further into design. Through this second survey, you are invited to share ideas on where you would prefer to walk along the shared-use path and where you would like access points to be.
