This engagement opportunity is open through Wednesday, July 8. Your feedback will help finalize the plan, along with other available information, such as plan guidance and crash data. Project Background
The S. Four Mile Run Drive Complete Streets Project will deliver multimodal safety improvements throughout the corridor in phases. This engagement presents a revised concept design for the section from S. Walter Reed Drive to S. Nelson Street. This project originated through the Master Transportation Plan, community-reported transportation safety concerns, crash data, and the results of the Vision Zero High Injury Network Safety Audit of Four Mile Run Drive.
Phase 3 Project Goals
- Provide a safe, consistent pathway for people walking in the corridor
- Reduce motor vehicle speeds along S. Four Mile Run Drive (speeds currently average 10 mph above speed limit)
- Reconfigure the roadway to better serve all users, as indicated in the Four Mile Run Valley Area Plan

Four Mile Run Valley Area Plan
The Four Mile Run Valley Area Plan envisions S Four Mile Run Drive as a three-lane roadway (one lane in each direction with a center turn lane) with improved pedestrian zones and crossings.
