Intersection of West Lake Road at Big Tree Road by Minnehan's- Option 1A:  Gateway Treatments and improved pedestrian amenities

This option would aim to enhance the asymmetrical intersection with trees and shrubs, a Lakeville gateway sign facing eastbound traffic on Route 20A, pedestrian signals, intersection landings, and crosswalks, and extend the sidewalk to the intersection.

Intersection of West Lake Road at Big Tree Road  by Minnehan's- Option 1B: Roundabout

 

This option would aim to improve traffic flow with a modern roundabout at the intersection. It would include all of the amenities listed in Option 1A, except traffic would be free flowing the intersection. Intersection of Rochester Road at Big Tree Road - Option 2A - RealignmentThis option realigns the southern approach for Freedom Point and improves intersection geometry enhancing accommodations for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists.  Included would be a new traffic signal with adaptive signal timings and include pedestrian signals and crossing accommodations.Plan view of recomendation to improve intersection of Big Tree Rd at Rochester Road in the Option 2A realignment.
Intersection of Rochester Road at Big Tree Road - Option 2B - Roundabout

This option would improve intersection geometry through a single lane roundabout, and provide improved operations with continuous flow at the intersection.  This option may require right-of-way acquisitions and is more costly to design and construct.

Intersection of East Lake Road and Bronson Hill Road at Big Tree Road - Option 3A - Signal improvements

This option includes upgrades to the signalized intersection with a new traffic signal and adaptive signal timings for more efficient operations.  Pedestrian accommodations would include a connected sidewalk for crossing, pedestrian signals, and crosswalks.

This option provides improvements through exclusive left turn lanes added to each approach.  The traffic signal would be replaced and have adaptive signal timings for more efficient operations.  Pedestrian accommodations include a connected sidewalk, pedestrian signals, and crosswalks. This option may have significant grading impacts, require right-of-way acquisitions, and be costly to construct.
