The Pass on Plastic Pledge asks you to look at your own habits regarding single-use plastics and commit to practices that cut down your consumption, simple acts that improve our community and the environment. By taking this pledge, you are accepting the charge to reduce your own plastic consumption. You can do this in a number of ways. When you commit to any one of the sustainable practices in the pledge, you will win plastic reducing prizes from the City. By taking this pledge, you are showing that you care about the health,cleanliness, and pristine environment of our home in Asheville. It’s a big deal, and the City of Asheville thanks you. * Yes! I am taking the Pass on Plastic Pledge and commit to reducing my single-use plastic consumption by doing the following activities - Select at LEAST two to be eligible for great prizes!

Plastic bags - I will either bring my own reusable bag, opt for paper, or only buy what I can carry.
Straws - I will bring my own or refuse single use plastic straws.
Water bottles - I will carry and refill my own and won't use single-use water bottles.
To-Go Containers - I will bring my own to-go box or finish my meal.
Eco-Friendly Alternatives - I will advocate to my favorite restaurants that I would prefer compostable to-go options.
Cups and Lids - I will bring my own reusable cup or mug. I won't accept non-compostable cups or lids.
Utensils - I will bring my own utensils and say "no thanks" to single-use plastic utensils.
