Overview of Project
Iowa DOT is planning to replace a culvert on U.S. 59 near Melvin and Sanborn. The existing single box culvert will be replaced with a twin box culvert.
Work is scheduled to begin in late spring 2027.
Traffic will be detoured during construction. The detour would follow 250th Street east at the junction of U.S. 59 and 250th Street to 1st / Sorrel Ave in the town of Melvin, then South on 1st / Sorrel Ave to U.S. 18 then west to the junction of U.S. 59.
