Floyd Hull Stadium & Park Project Background
At the initiation of the Fort Lauderdale’s Parks Bond and Parks Master Plan Design and Implementation Program, the City conducted a comprehensive public engagement effort to ensure an effective and efficient process that fairly and equitably maximized citizen input and support for the planning and development of Fort Lauderdale’s park improvements. Proposed improvements from on the 2016 Parks and Recreation Master Plan did not include any specific recommendations for Floyd Hull Stadium & Park, however, there is funding dedicated to improvements based on public input received. While the 2021 Parks Bond engagement effort yielded limited feedback from the community, additional neighborhood engagement with the Edgewood Neighborhood resulted in the following potential program elements for the park site. Results from a neighborhood survey are below, in order of elements receiving the most unweighted votes.
