Draft Recommendations

The draft recommendations are broken up by the study segments, in general. 
"Existing U.S. 401" represents U.S. 401 as it exists today in each segment - southern Wake and northern Harnett Counties. Recommendations include both short and mid-term improvements.
"Future U.S. 401" represents a new north-south connection, prevoiusly referred to as the Proposed U.S. 401 Bypass, The new roadway will be needed to accommodate future population, employment, and accompanying traffic growth expected in the area through 2050.
