Woodmont Park Playground Final Draft Concept Engagement
We are excited to share the final draft design for the Woodmont Park Playground Renovation project! We gathered community feedback in July 2024 on three draft playground designs, and staff used your input to help develop this final draft based on your needs and preferences. Please take a moment to review the materials below and share your feedback on the final draft playground design. This online feedback form will remain open through December 15, 2024.
What's Included in the Final Draft Concept
The key design elements and features of the final draft design include:
- Expanded play areas for age groups 2-5 and 5-12 by reorganizing the design elements
- Proposed play elements are visually appealing and offer unique play opportunities to benefit children's development
- Physical play, sensory experiences, and socializing opportunities
- Play equipment with ground-level activities to foster ADA accessible play
- Slightly larger shade structure to allow more seating
- New decorative metal fence
- ADA compliant paving at the ADA parking spaces for accessibility to the site
- All existing trees will be kept and protected; 2 new shade trees along the edge of the play lawn
As a reminder, this project only focuses on the park's playground and parking lot. Features like the basketball court and the open lawn space are not included within the scope of this project.
