Valley Reconstruction

In 2014, Grand Rapids voters established the Vital Streets fund. This fund dedicates its focus to improving our street conditions. The Valley Avenue project is funded by Vital Streets. Construction will begin in early April and is expected to be complete at the end of June 2026.

Valley Avenue (1st Street to 4th Street)

Construction is expected to start early April depending on the weather.

This is a reconstruction project. Contractors will replace the road and upgrade what is listed below:

Driveway approaches and sidewalks
Water
Parkways and street trees
Storm sewer
