NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ON THE
PROPOSED 1987 PM10 NAAQS SECOND 10-YEAR MAINTENANCE PLAN
FOR THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY MAINTENANCE AREA
DAQ welcomes comments on the proposed Second Maintenance Plan for the 1987 24-hour PM10 National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS): Las Vegas Valley Maintanence Area: Clark County, Nevada. Under Section 175A of the Clean Air Act, Clark County is required to submit a plan demonstrating attainment of the 1987 PM10 National Ambient Air Quality Standard for a second 10-year period following the expiration of the initial maintenance period. This plan serves as the second 10-year maintenance plan for the Las Vegas Valley 1987 PM10 Maintanence Area and demonstrates how the area will remain in attainment of the standard through 2035. If adopted, the plan will be submitted to the state of Nevada and EPA as a revision to the Nevada State Implementation Plan.
The Board of County Commissioners will consider the proposed plan, along with all written and any oral public comments, at a public hearing at 10:00 AM on August 5, 2025, in the Commission Chambers, Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway, Las Vegas, NV.
Deadline for comment submission is 4 p.m. PDT, Friday, June 20, 2025.
