About
Balm Park and Community Center received funding for eight new pickleball courts through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. About $660,000 has been received for the courts at this time. As a part of that project, Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation is looking for community input on a long-range master plan for the park and community center. Improvements to the park and facilities are not currently funded. Additionally, with the realignment of Balm Wimauma Road, the overall acreage of Balm Park may increase.
Site Plan 1 shows Balm Park and Community Center with its current plotted boundaries. The additional pickleball courts, redefined parking lot, and new walking loop are included in the funded park improvements.
Site Plan 2 shows Balm Park and Community Center with the potential additional park acreage. This site plan was created to show amenities that potentially could be added to the park. Everything shown in addition to the amenities listed on Site Plan 1 have not yet received funding.
