Project Identification

Pecan Road has been identified for resurfacing by the City of Raleigh's Transportation Department. The City of Raleigh resurfaces city streets annually that have poor pavement condition.

In addition to improving the condition of the pavement, resurfacing projects improve sidewalk ramps, crosswalks, and curbs. They also provide the City of Raleigh an opportunity to update pavement markings to match the Comprehensive Plan and BikeRaleigh Plan.

Design

The 2016 BikeRaleigh Plan recommends bike lanes for this street. Due to street characteristics, a two-way cycle track on the north side of Pecan Road is being proposed.

We are seeking feedback on the proposed concept for Pecan Road through a brief survey on the "Feedback" page.
